Gesa Rohwedder is Associate Partner at Drees & Sommer SE, one of Europe’s leading Real Estate Consulting, Planning and Project Management enterprise, working with private and public clients on all types of real estate and infrastructure projects.
As Head of Hospitality Europe, she has successfully led the hospitality sector team since 2014. With her specialist expertise for hotel operators, investors and developers, she and her team provide consulting, analysis, evaluation and advisory services in the initiating project phases of a hotel project as well as in hotel-specific, operational and business management aspects through to the commissioning process. Gesa also advises the hospitality industry on comprehensive sustainability strategies and ESG - action plans.
Prior to this, she gained a wide range of experience during her more than 20 years in the hotel industry at one of the world's largest hotel chains - InterContinental Hotels Group - and held various management positions both in Germany and other European countries.
During her many years of managing international 5-star hotels, she was successfully responsible for the evaluation of hotel conversion projects from the hotel operator's and owner's point of view as well as analysis activities for the evaluation of hotel locations and hotel conversion and expansion potential.
