A relaxed pair: luxury and ecology

Dubai. Special permits allow some hotels to be located in the midst of a national park. In Dubai's desert, it works the other way round. The Al Maha Resort convinced the ruler of Dubai to declare 225 square kilometres of desert to be a national "Desert Conservation Reserve". The reason: An ecologist is a member of the management of Emirates Hotels & Resorts. And he is the person responsible for the next big ecological hotel on the Seychelles. By 2010, 253 million dollars will flow into this resort, which will be located on a hidden property on the main island of Mahe.
