Corona hotspot Austria: Contrary measures and traces in Ischgl

Vienna. Up to two thirds of Austrian holidaymakers will spend their holidays in their own country. In the past years, the number of trips between home and abroad has been fairly balanced.

Innsbruck. The Austrian skiing destination Tyrol contributed to the fact that the quarantine status was adopted in Austria – but by then, the virus had already been spread as far as Scandinavia and also in the country's own federal state of Arlberg. The skiing centres had become a "virus catapult". Now, the discussions have begun.

Munich. In the corona chaos of summer 2020, more and more politicians are making seemingly arbitrary decisions with devastating consequences for tourism and the hotel industry: they are imposing overnight stricter quarantine rules, discriminating against travellers from hotspots, imposing renewed curfews, increasing penalties for non-compliance and now panicky increases in testing. In Central Europe, there is nothing but actionism - no one can see through any more.
