Europe: Hotel markets outperform in 2019, air travel more subdued

Valencia. Flight cancellations due to staff shortages have led to a slump in last-minute bookings and a slowdown in flight bookings. Cancellations and flight changes have almost tripled compared to 2019. The slumps in Amsterdam and London are particularly glaring.

Valencia. International flights to European destinations in July and August reached 39.9% of pre-pandemic levels. This is significantly better than last year but the picture remains mixed.
