More than 70 companies with a focus on the hotel industry are exhibiting at this year's Expo Real (4-6 October). With 27 exhibitors, the joint stand of the World of Hospitality again reaches pre-Corona level and has two premieres to offer: For the first time, a hotel group from Asia will be there (Dusit Hotels) and a company from the Senior Living segment will present itself. Everything will be more colourful.

Premiere for four companies

Dusit International’s development strategy from 2023 onwards is to enter Europe in order to bring unique hospitality capabilities from Asia, and is looking for real estate partners that share the same vision. Dusit’s portfolio of hotels, resorts and luxury villas has grown significantly in the last five years, with the group currently operating over 340 properties under seven brands spanning 16 countries. To date, there are over 50 confirmed projects in the pipeline and the expansion goal in Europe is to open 3-5 hotels in key destinations annually from 2025 onwards. "Besides being an operator, Dusit is also one of the leaders in hospitality education in East Asia – with over 6,000 students," adds Siradej Donavanik, Vice President – Hotel Business Development of Dusit International, "and Dusit has a strong track record in food business; all of which have great synergies to the main hospitality sector."

The touch of Asia will thus make the colourful mix of co-exhibitors even more attractive. Among the hotel groups, consultants, investors and lawyers, some of whom have been returning exhibitors for years, the name Schönes Leben GRUPPE (Beautiful Life Group) stands out this year. It is the first exhibitor from the Senior Living segment.

CEO Marc Hildebrand comments: "It is amazing that the real estate industry has paid so little attention to the Senior Living segment so far, especially in these difficult times. We are talking about a target group of currently 25 million people in Germany alone with a concrete need for more than 5,000 large Senior Living properties and 550,000 residential units. We are looking forward to the World of Hospitality in Hall A2."

With Prodinger Beratungsgruppe, an Austrian company with multiple expertise joins the circle of hospitality experts at WoH for the first time. Partner and Managing Director Thomas Reisenzahn: "We are particularly active in the Alpine holiday hotel industry and look after over 500 hotel businesses in tax and business consulting. A great many businesses are looking for answers to these current questions. This also involves numerous closures and liquidations of holiday properties that are looking for new concepts in a timely manner. We are living in an age of upheaval, and tourism as a cross-sectoral industry is more affected by this than other economic sectors."

Experienced industry experts like Arne Mundt, Managing Director of the operator Halbersbacher Hospitality Group, is stepping on the gas in the current market phase - and therefore opted for more visibility through a presence at the HospitalityInside joint stand: "Growth has just really taken off in 2022 and 2023 - 14 acquisitions or new projects are pending by the end of this year. From there, we believe it is time to introduce ourselves to a broader field of potential interested parties and investors."
