German hotel industry continues to post records

Berlin. Superlative over superlative: The German hotel industry managed to raise revenues yet again in 2015, taking them around two billion euros higher than they were in 2014 - the sixth increase in a row. An end is not in sight. The German International Hotel Association remains unsatisfied though, in particular with the working time rules and the practices of certain online booking portals.

Berlin. The German hotel industry experienced its fifth consecutive year of growth in 2014 and the continued forecasts are also favourable. Germany as a travel destination remains popular. Nevertheless, the power of the hotel industry as a job engine has significantly decreased even before the introduction of the minimum wage.
