Sustainability beyond Greenwashing and Greenwishing. The EU Green Claims Directive seems poised to prevent the worst of corporate exaggeration about efforts to be sustainable. But what if not just preventing greenwashing, the Directive puts a stop to 'Greenwishing' and reveals the limitations of an approach to sustainability that relies on consuming different products rather than less? Do we need to be more radical and consider how we can derive different sources of value rather than further growth? Can tourism continue on a high growth path in a finite planet, or will it begin to lose its social license to operate?
