The HOT founders
The founders of Hotels Tomorrow are three conference organisers who each have over 30+ years of experience in the hospitality industry and will bring their network to the conference - from across Continental Europe and the UK.
Marius Gomola, Managing Director of Horwath HTL Hungary, has made a name for himself with his HOTCO conference, first in Budapest and then in Vienna, focusing on Eastern Europe, Southeast Europe and the Caucuses. "With HOT, we are staging hospitality insiders and highlighting market opportunities throughout Europe. It is time for hotel investment stakeholders to pool their expertise and have their views shared on HOT’s game-changing stage."
Marc P. Werner, Lawyer, Partner and Head of Global Hospitality Group of Hogan Lovells International LLP, has been organising the Hogan Lovells Hotel Day in Germany for 17 years - with a focus on the DACH region. "Thanks to its economic and purchasing power, Europe remains a sought-after investment and expansion destination for American and Asian investors and hotel operators, despite the economic downturn."
Maria Puetz-Willems, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the bilingual hotel trade magazine hospitalityInside.com, organised the hotel conference at ITB from 2006-2017, the hotel conference at Expo Real Munich for 16 years (to date) and the HospitalityInside Think Tank (HITT) on sustainability and innovation since 2018 - all with a Europe-wide and international focus. "We have been discussing new event formats for a long time. Now we are delighted to be able to start implementing them with HOT."
Getting involved in Europe
Hotels Tomorrow is starting its own European journey in Paris, the most attractive tourist destination in Europe [Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023, Euromonitor], at the Pullman Montparnasse. Europe is the most important travel destination in the world, the powerhouse of global tourism. Within the EU, tourism is the third largest socio-economic force. Nevertheless, Europe needs to be explained time and again, to engage with the diverse structures, cultures and the European Union. Only then will hospitality concepts work.
