Markus Semer on the Kempinski board

Geneva. As part of the management upheaval at Kempinski Hotel & Resorts, Markus Semer, Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs & Strategic Planning, took up his position on the directors board on 1st May 2008. Semer completes the board management team spearheaded by President & CEO Reto Wittwer, which also includes Simon Coombs, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, and Duncan O'Rourke, Chief Operating Officer. At only 32 years of age, Semer is certain to be one of the youngest hotel board members worldwide.

Geneva. Michel Novatin, recently Chief Operating Officer Kempinski Hotels & Resorts has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Shaza Hotels, effective June 1st, 2008. Shaza is a Kempinski joint venture company focussing on the Arabian and Eastern regions in the Islamic culture. Novatin's successor is Duncan O'Rourke.
