Berlin. Even if political crises have failed to have an impact on travel plans in Central Europe, the global upturn is characterised by the new travel giant, China. The Chinese are, however, incorrectly judged in Europe. According to travel forecasts, results from 2013 will continue into this summer too. Contractions in Egypt are primarily made up by Greece and Turkey. And the sabre rattling in the Crimea is expected to have little influence on German travel behaviour. After an unexpectedly positive year for tourism in 2013, experts now expect even more positive trends for 2014: Foreign travel is again expected to rise by around five percent worldwide.
