Munich. For the first time, Solutions Holding, based in Munich, participated in the succession regulation of a private hotel as a supporting measure. Among the company's other participating interests are hotel chains, a restaurant concept, and two individual hotels, for which a turn-around-concept was created.
Sylt/Bad Ragaz. Not one but two criminal acts made the headlines last week: A fire in the Lindner Hotel Windrose on the German isle of Sylt and a robbery at the Grand Hotel Quellenhof in Switzerland's Bad Ragaz. 260 guests had to be evacuated on Sylt and in Bad Ragaz an employee was left injured.
London. Public sector cuts will have depressive effects on the hotel demand in Europe, which, on top of the sharp rise in hotel chain room supply over the recession means that room occupancy could plummet from 2011. The UK market will be hit stronger than the French and German market.
Adelboden. The Kuwaiti investors are now set to pull out of their commitment to the hotel and spa project in Adelboden in the Berner Oberland, Switzerland. Their reason: they simply no longer have the funds.
