Augsburg. The keyword "News Mix" will bring to you tiny bits of news about considerable events of the past week. Munich. The fourth Motel One in Munich - officially opened last Tuesday - is located within the Altstadtring, 50 metres away from the underground station and pedestrian zone. Once again, the low budget design hotel group proves that reasonable rooms for 69 euros and top locations do not exclude one another. For the second time within four weeks, Motel One thus presented the slight improvements of the product. More brands will move into the 2-star hotels.

Bad Salzuflen. Four weeks ago, Maritim Hotels announced the opening of a new hotel in China. Now, the German hotel group's attention comes back to its home pastures. Last week, Maritim assumed a 53 room hotel in Bonn.

Interlaken. Even in times of economic crisis, miracles still happen: This weekend, the bankrupt "Mystery Park" in Interlaken, Switzerland, is to be reopened. The compound remains a building site.

Berlin. Right on time for the European Parliament elections on 7th  June 2009, the German Hotel Association has compiled an interactive internet page with information surrounding the European election for hoteliers, journalists, politicians and other interested citizens.

Duesseldorf. Hotel rates in Europe are seven percent up compared to the previous month - particularly in the major cities. In May, favourable rates can be found in Madrid, Lisbon and Naples, for example. This was announced by an online portal.

Bad Salzuflen. Maritim's expansion in China is moving forward. On 15th April 2009, the HMS International Hotel GmbH, an affiliate of Maritim, concluded a further management agreement for a hotel in the city of Anting near Shanghai.

The luxury hotel group Jumeirah from Dubai announced its first hotel in Germany last Tuesday: a 5-star hotel tower at the PalaisQuartier at the Thurn-und-Taxis-Platz in the heart of Frankfurt. The PalaisQuartier includes office units, leisure and shopping units, and is only a short walk from the financial district, the pedestrian zone and the opera.
