Munich. Despite everything, the European hotel industry is in good shape, trusting its abilities to navigate uncertainty and quickly recover from difficulties. "There is very little about next year to be regarded as negative among operators", declared in particular James Parsons, Head of Business Development Hotels STR Global, during his keynote opening at the Expo Real 2016 hotel conference "Hospitality Industry Dialogue".

Frankfurt. The German hotel investment market remains as popular as ever. Even institutional investors are meanwhile getting on board with projects. National buyers are also expanding their share relative to international buyers. Especially popular are 4-star hotels, whereas budget hotel transactions have fallen sharply for lack of supply.
