Paris. Threatened by the arrival of top luxury Asian brands in Paris and chasing the coveted new French label "Palace", landmark hotels in the French capital close one after the other for massive renovation. Now, Le Plaza Athénée closed.

Amsterdam. citizenM, announced this week a partnership with the Artyzen Hospitality Group, the hotel management subsidiary of Shun Tak Holdings Limited which is run by the influential Ho casino family of Macao.

Munich. The biggest British budget chain Premier Inn aims to conquer the German market with a massive expansion drive. The company has already conducted comprehensive market assessments and has decided that the British design will not be translated 1:1 to Germany.

Munich. On an average, Treugast indicates solid achievements for the hotel operators represented in Germany. However, the hotel market in the country is overcast. The new readiness of some chains for financial entrance might help in the expansion.
