Hamburg. Hotels living from airline passengers might have to adjust to a big loss in business. All across Europe, rising air fares have led to declining passenger numbers in the first six months. Airlines are compensating for the loss in their own way - among other things, by imposing shockingly high luggage charges, which ultimately spoil the appetite for travel.

Munich. The European hotel industry starts into a weak 2008 by achieving an average RevPAR increase of 1.1 percent only making an average of 68 Euro.
