The global travel industry is set to make a full recovery in 2024, with spending expected to surpass pre-pandemic levels. European travel is leading the comeback, China lagging behind. Agile OTAs have absorbed the change in consumer behaviour and increased their market power. Nevertheless, things are looking bright.

The Motel One Group is testing a new concept for its young design brand The Cloud One in Florida: the group's second project in the USA will also offer condos - including rooms with up to three bedrooms and penthouses.

The German business travel market recovered rapidly in 2023, companies spent significantly more, and their employees spent more nights in hotels on longer trips. A positive change.
