Berlin. A research on accommodation prices in hotels, hostels, private accommodation and campsites in different cities and regions around the globe shows that, in a regional comparison, hotels, hostels, and campsites in Germany are among the cheapest worldwide. Switzerland and the US are expensive.

Berlin. In 2015, more than 287 billion euros were spent by domestic and foreign tourists for goods and services in Germany. These revenues generated nearly three million jobs and added value of more than 105 billion euros. The hospitality industry is a driving factor in this development.
