London. Hotels in Hamburg, Germany, recorded an 88% growth in average daily rate during the week of the G20 summit, according to a data specialist. In general, host hotel markets of the G20 summit have reported a greater impact on average daily rate than occupancy levels.

The "2018 Global Travel Forecast" released this week by travel management company Carlson Wagonlit Travel in partnership with the Global Business Travel Association Foundation explains that strength in global economy will drive travel prices up "sharply".
