Ruegen's Cerês Hotel sets itself apart with holistic concept
Lifestyle in package deal heaven
5.10.2007

Binz. Families and package holidaymakers make up the largest contingent on Ruegen's beaches - a Baltic sea retreat for all those seeking a short term break and relaxation. Now, the German seaside cliché of wicker chair and beach ball is soon to be united with another - that of Porsche bespectacled couples from culture and lifestyle. It's these chic little touches which the Cerês intends to add - Ruegen's first lifestyle hotel. A Hanover based architect took six years to complete the 50 room hotel, directly on the beach promenade just before the Binz sea bridge. The only thing cool here though is the concept; the hotel itself is - thank God - more palpable, even when the owner has just signed a contract for membership with design hotels. Yet even this agreement is an odd one. Cool.
