Beijing. Accor and Jin Jiang Hotels want to jointly promote sustainable practices across the hospitality industry. Both have just signed a corresponding memorandum of understanding for ten years and is to apply above all to the hotels in China.
Stuttgart. More than a quarter of all investments planned for 2023 is reserved for sustainability. This is an increase of 16% compared to the previous year. Large companies with at least five billion euros in annual turnover have increased the share by 20%.

Vienna. The second time round, Austria is providing an energy cost subsidy for tourism businesses for 2023. Politics talk about relief; consultants, however, initiate an energy stress test for the upper-class hotel industry. Despite everything, the operators remain optimistic because the number of guests participating in a survey, who want to go on holidays this winter, was never as high as now.
Madrid. The environmental awareness of European travellers has increased over the past year – in that they have actually changed their behaviour with provable figures. Europe is becoming the main international benchmark, especially Germany, Italy and Spain.
