Under pressure from shareholders? Airbnb is embracing boutique hotels

At the end of last year, Airbnb launched a pilot scheme through which the platform offers stays in boutique and independent hotels in cities with excessive demand or a regulated supply. The company has now announced plans to expand this service and has appointed a Head of Hotels.
