Thanks to its market resilience, the hotel asset class is currently overtaking the other asset classes. Investors see the Plus points. But what can we expect in terms of transactions? This is the key question in the new INVESTMENT BAROMETER from hospitalityInside in cooperation with Union Investment Real Estate. Just in time for Expo Real.

With this barometer, the specialised publisher from Augsburg and the investment manager from Hamburg have been recording the current mood and assessment of investments in the hotel industry for years. The survey is deliberately embedded in the time frame of Europe's largest property and investment trade fair, so that YOUR answers provide the live picture.

This time, all three trend questions are dedicated to the topic of hotel transactions: Property buying and selling is driving growth, which is why they refer to Europe and not just Germany or DACH. And, of course, our short index questions for later comparison with previous years.

The hospitality industry is also functioning in the crisis. Expectations for business remain high, as well as for increasing turnover. It is only with new projects that the industry is struggling. Investments will not gain momentum until the end of 2024 or 2025. Family offices and fund providers are likely to set the tone then. ESG remains on the agenda. This is the result of the current INVESTMENT Barometer, the 11th survey by HospitalityInside and Union Investment.
