Berlin. JustBook, an app for spontaneous hotel bookings, is now expanding across the whole of Europe. The portal was launched in January 2012.
Up to now, 20 German destinations have been listed on the app which allows bookings to be made between midday and 2:00 a.m for the same night in selected hotels. Now, www.justbook.com has added a number of other European destinations. Budapest, London, Prague, Salzburg, Vienna and Zürich. Over the coming days and weeks, hotels in Amsterdam, Reykjavik and various Austrian cities will also become available.
"JustBook has been on a steady expansion course since January," Stefan Menden says, Founder and Managing Director of the company. Up to now, more than 80,000 people have downloaded the free app. It is free of charge for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. By extending the hotel network - meanwhile 300 hotels cooperate with JustBook - organisers now expect strong user growth in other European countries. In just a few days, a TV advertising campaign will also be launched.
Each day, three high-quality hotels will be presented per city, each capable of being booked between midday and 2:00 a.m. for the same night. Since these are last minute bookings, travellers using the app can make savings of up to 50 percent.
Justbook achieved unwanted fame in the sector as it won its case before the Anti-Trust Commission against the online platform HRS in February. / kn
