Hamburg. Park Hyatt is moving out of the Levantehaus in Hamburg on 19 December after 24 years - and Conrad Hotel is moving in. However, the Hilton brand will only become visible from the end of 2024/beginning of 2025, when the operator Munich Hotel Partners opens the doors. MHP CEO Dr Jörg Frehse will focus even more on luxury hotels in the future.

Munich. The optimism is there, but the German hotel industry will have to wait a little longer for the return of anything like the figures from 2019. The industry has been hit hard, as also shown by the "Treugast Investment Rating" 2022: The equity ratio of the German operating companies has halved, and GOP nosedived in 2020/21. There were 13 downgrades and only three upgrades. This is a reflection of hard times.

Frankfurt. Peakside Capital Advisors AG has acquired the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof and the adjacent office building in Frankfurt from The Prinz von Hessen group. Various operator talks are already underway.
