London. As of this week, the British are coming out of their Covid-19 lockdown and are thus approaching the challenges of Brexit again. The players in the hotel industry now have to turn their businesses around. Biggest problem: staff.

Frankfurt. Entrepreneur Michael Schramm has built up a Serviced Apartment group in Germany in recent years and now also acts as a hotel operator. His latest project is the Star-Apart Hansa Hotel in Wiesbaden. But his further expansion plans focus on serviced apartments. 

Frankfurt/Berlin. German hotel operator HMG is closing three of its Flemings hotels in Frankfurt and one in Zurich. In Berlin, the well-known Ellington Hotel is leaving the market.
