London. It was announced in June, now, design veteran Ian Schrager and chain hotelier Bill Marriott sealed the two billion Pounds Sterling deal in the London Marriott Park Lane. 100 new boutique hotels are to come. And by Schrager's own admission, the designer has never stayed in a Marriott hotel.
Bangkok. Six Senses Resorts & Spas have commenced rebranding their Evason Hideaways properties to "Six Senses Hideaways". This decision is in response to market surveys which showed that Six Senses enjoyed high global recognition and should no longer be only reserved for spas.

Zurich. Swiss Jelmoli Holding will buy the majority of Seiler Hotels in Zermatt. This puts an end to a 150-year old Swiss hotel family dynasty.
