In the mile-long foyer guests appear as lost little dots. The Kempinski group has to be extremely careful that this Arabian sheikh’s dream doesn’t turn into a "hotel nightmare".
Abu Dhabi. The capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, takes up competition with other worldclass MICE destinations, such as London or Cape Town. Indeed, right now the International Conference Center at Emirates Palace is the most convincing facility of this new marble landmark in the desert.

Chicago. A record 250 participants and speakers from 31 countries attended the third annual International Hotel Conference, recently held at the Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monte Carlo, Monaco. hospitalityInside.com, one of ICH's media partner, reported about the event. The next conference now is set for Rome in October 2006.
Munich. Luxury or budget, management or lease, classic bank financing or private equity? In the course of the "4th Hospitality Industry Dialogue" in Munich at this year's real estate fair ExpoReal, the questions revolving around the hotel industry were the same as in the previous year - as were the answers: At best, they signalled trends that are increasing.
Frankfurt/M. German travel agents can now use the services of the global service provider Net Trans for the management of hotel commission. The service is intended to ease the invoicing of foreign hotels.
