Wiesbaden. The German tour operators publish different, mostly non-comparable figures about their hotel shares. An overview.

Wiesbaden. Summer time, travel time. But hardly anyone notices that the travel organiser himself is the one standing behind the travel destinations. For years, the German travel organisers have been among the biggest hotel operators and owners of the country. Most of their hotels are located abroad. Recently, some strategic interests in hotel chains have been under careful examination.
Hanover. 1-2-Fly, a tour operator specializing in flights to the Mediterranean and classic car destinations, is about to expand into the long distance travel business for the winter season 2005/06.
Abu Dhabi. Last March the Sheikh conceded interviews: Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the young chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority took the advantage offered by the world's biggest tourism fair, the ITB in Berlin, to appear as marketing representative for his country. After all, his Emirate is in future to stand proudly next to Dubai as tourist destination. Abu Dhabi is moving forward at a pace of knots.
Abu Dhabi. The consulting firm HVS International describes in its "Middle East Hotel Survey 2005" specific developments for Abu Dhabi.
Duesseldorf. Tour operators have to stick to their own "star system". The Appeal Court in Celle ordered that holidaymakers be reimbursed.
Frankfurt/M. Wellness alone is not enough for many holiday makers. But what wellness really is, is kept quite secret by airtours. The new catalogue bursts with anglicisms and leaves many a question unanswered concerning some offers.
Duesseldorf. London led the way and now the "Business Travel Show" is to take place for the second time in Germany. Up to now, over 100 participants from business travel have registered for the event in Düsseldorf.
Munich. This year's "hotelforum", Munich's meeting of hotel real estate and investment experts, has been cancelled. The event would have taken place between 11 and 13 October in Munich. Simultaneously the real estate fair Expo Real announced the issues for its "hotel day".
Frankfurt/M. Competitive pressure is the mother of invention: in the coming winter season, Neckermann will send 300 customers as testers to its resort hotels. Singles, couples and families will have to pack checklists too.
