Ruslan Husry, HR Group prepares further acquisitions

H-Hotels part ways with CEO Thomas Haas

A few minutes ago, the German H-Hotel Group announced that it had parted ways with its CEO and Managing Director Thomas Haas on Tuesday, 12 November. The separation took place "independently of the antitrust proceedings", the group emphasised with regard to initial media reports from this week, according to which H-Hotels is to be taken over by the HR Group. A corresponding application for the takeover has been submitted to the cartel office.

With a total of 64 hotels, H-Hotels is one of the larger hotel groups with German roots. But now the owner Alexander Fitz and his CEO Thomas Haas are also rethinking: The chain will continue to grow in Europe's major cities - and with a much sharper brand profile.
