Munich. The MBA emphasis in our last issue has revealed inconsistencies beyond what had been published, mainly regarding the particular purpose and suitability of Kempinski's MBA. The luxury hotel chain does not have any answers to the open questions and this creates further doubt.
Munich. The number of MBA programmes specialised on the hotel industry is increasing. However, not every programme corresponds to the basic concept of a the General Management training.
Munich/Geneva. In order to strengthen Kempinski's core competence in management, CEO Reto Wittwer has created an in-house MBA programme all 100 top managers have to complete.

Geneva. When Kempinski Chairman Reto Wittwer gets on a plane, it has to be First Class. He does, after all, represent one of the most luxurious international hotel chains. But this is not the only reason for his decision: Wittwer rather enjoys luxury as an individual but also indulges in first class travel privately.
New York. New York's powerful hotel workers union will demand reduced workloads for its members and more emphasis on safety when talks for a new contract get under way within the next few months.
Brussels. He belongs among the most pugnacious group of managers in the hotel industry. The hotel brand Radisson SAS has grown, under his leadership, to 250 hotels, and by the year 2012 there are expected to be 700. Singapore. Starwood Asia Pacific plans to double its number of hotels in China by the end of 2007. There are also ambitious plans for India and other areas in this region. No wonder, Oliver Bonke, Vice President Sales & Marketing Asia-Pacific, located in Singapore, looks upon an aeroplane as his second home.
