Tenerife. With the immediate takeover of the Abama Resort on the Canary Island of Tenerife, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company now operates nine hotels and resorts in Europe. Abama is a destination resort that extends over 160 hectares on a rock plateau above the Atlantic Ocean.
