With EcoHotels and Faircations two new "sustainable" OTAs arrive

Wiesbaden. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important when it comes to booking. In the past few days, as many as two new booking platforms for sustainable hotels have entered the German market: EcoHotels and Faircations. Both platforms are based on well-known labels, but both service and future plans clearly differ from one another.

Amsterdam. Booking.com, a giant among the OTAs, last week - finally - presented its "green label": In future, the "Travel Sustainable badge" should rank all 28 million listings. The accommodations on the booking website does not have to pay anything for it! The OTA has defined the criteria for this in cooperation with three certifiers.
