Vienna. Tourism demand in Vienna recovered significantly in the second half of 2022. The guest mix increased in internationality, guests stayed longer and spent more. RevPAR was at a record high in December.

Berlin/Bern. The challenges for the hotel industry in Germany as well as in Switzerland remain great. There is a lack of planning certainty and turnover, costs remain high. Moreover, the recovery that can be felt in many places is not homogeneous, but is more evident in certain areas than in others. In Germany, at least city tourism returned in 2022.

Rimini. Chain penetration in Italy still lags behind levels of most European competitors: it’s 6.6 percent of total hotels. Looking at rooms, the perspective is different. Only ten years ago branded rooms in Italy made up 13.3% of the total, now it's almost 20%.
