Leatherhead. Germany has only two members in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. But this is not the only thing a few former Hilton marketing professionals want to change. They wish to increase the service – from people to people and by means of electronics. A directory that comes in credit card format is getting high attention.
Munich. At the ITB, Germany's biggest hotel cooperative, the Ringhotels, introduced its new customer bonding programme catching up with the big hotel chains.

Parsippany/N.J.. The US market no longer offers significant opportunities for expansion, thus the Cendant Hotel Group focusses clearly on Europe and Asia in future. The takeover of Ramada International last December was only the beginning. “We are a company with many resources regarding investors and customers,” said Reas M. Kondraschow, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Cendant Hotel Group International, in Berlin, looking at Cendant’s wide portfolio of travel services.
Mumbai. India remains the company's main target market for expansion and the new "Palaces & Resorts" of the Leela Group are to be financed by investment funds as well.
Phoenix/Berlin. "The largest group in the world," says their slogan but now Best Western International is preaching the quality credo. At the same time the group is pushing its services via the Internet: "The days of call centres and GDS are over," says CEO David Kong.

Hamburg. For DIFA, Deutsche Immobilien Fonds AG, "satisfied lessees" is an extremely important customer bonding instrument. With the new "PartnerCard", DIFA integrates those hotels whose properties belong to it as well.
