"We are still in the onboarding phase," says founder and CEO David Etmenan 1.5 years after Novum Hospitality joined "the IHG system". Measures are slowly taking effect. At the same time, he is now acting as a developer and developing his own owner-operator platform. His pipeline is growing with solid partners. Interview with David Etmenan. 

A few days ago, Gorgeous Smiling Hotels (GSH) announced its new parent company and at Expo Real it signed franchise agreements with Wyndham for 25 hotels belonging to the group in Germany and Austria. 

Expo Real Munich is expanding its portfolio to include a trade fair in Asia. The new event, which will take place in Singapore from 15-17 June 2026, will bring together the most important players in the real estate, infrastructure and investment sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the sixth consecutive year of crisis, Motel One and B&B Hotels continued to hold their top positions in the Treugast Investment Rating 2025. But there were also clear losers and a well-deserved Special Award. The biggest challenge for everyone is the current economic situation.

The most important dates have already been noted in the 2025 calendar. The 27th Expo Real in Munich will take place from 6-8 October. The hospitality cluster is growing and networking is becoming increasingly important. This time, the joint stand "World of Hospitality" will feature two Get-together events.

“Hospitality meets Real Estate” – for the 16th time. And for the first time at Scandic Munich Macherei. BRICKS & BRAINS welcomes its event guests in a Scandinavian living room, entirely in the hygge style.

Since the beginning of September, there has been a flurry of activity surrounding Expo Real. Some partners joined at the last minute. You will find 25 companies at World of Hospitality in Hall A1. 120 companies have registered for BRICKS & BRAINS. And the third day attracts curious visitors and newcomers with small prizes, including lectures with Weisswurst, Career Day and the World of Hospitality Brunch. 

There are only ten weeks to go until Expo Real 2025. The joint stand "World of Hospitality" is ready, detailed planning is in full swing, and there are still a few places available. There are new opening hours and a new hall layout. The Scandic München Macherei will host the popular HospitalityInside networking event BRICKS & BRAINS for the first time.

Around four months before the start of the 2025 trade fair, registrations for Europe's leading property trade fair are slightly up compared to the same time last year. There is a new hall and, fortunately, Transform & Beyond is entering its second round.
